Philippine Autocross Championship Series - Manila Leg Coverage

I grew up watching Slalom Races in front of the Folk Arts Theatre back in the day, it was awesome that time and I think this was the birth place of my fascination with all types of motorsports. Last Sunday, I went to this Autocross event to support Jasper Javier and his team "The Cult Classics". The weather was really bad because of the Typhoon, but it did not dampen the mood of the event. Everyone was out to gunnit!!! Just like the good ole days... Grassroots racing at its finest...

Jasper Javier's Monster VDub "Dulce"

Mike San Miguel's Custom Nissan California, still reppin' Team GARAHE

Doms Ochoa's Sinister EVO 3

Loving the Starlet of George Villongco...drool....

Motorsports Culture = JDM Underground

Cabspeed... fear the North...

Team Cult Classics... Old School Rules!!!

Autocrossers Galore...

Some people shots, no rain can contain...

Jape looking for the win...

Doms chillaxin' after a good run...

Wipeout crew...

At the waiting grid...

Rain or rain, motorsports events like these never fail to showcase how Function is the norm. Whinning enthusiasts need not apply.

  1. "I grew up watching Slalom Races in front of the Folk Arts Theatre back in the day,.."

I RACED autocross at the Folk Arts Theater parking lot, back in 1975!
I was there 3 times, before Pres. Marcos outlawed racing as a "waste of fuel".

1974 Camaro (still have it, but can't find the pics from the "San An Slalom" right now.
Here are some pics from autocross at Clark Air Base. http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae75/ProspectorTim/My%2074%20Camaro/Untitled-61_zpsi1bfertg.jpg
